“Since I was very young, I've had a profound emotional and intuitive connection with people and a fascination with how they think, feel and act.

After choosing to study theatre production instead of psychology, I was fortunate to work in performing arts management for many years, as well as for several world class film festivals as an event and venue director.

During my time in these industries, I mentored, coached and counselled many artists through stressful and challenging situations. Their genuine gratitude and appreciation taught me that I had inside of me, what others needed.

My most significant experience with mental illness and substance use disorder came from my late husband who, for 20 years, was a high-functioning, educated professional living with bipolar depression and chronic alcoholism.”
